Saltglazed stoneware bear jug and cover circa 1750

A fabulous large bear-baiting jug and cover, in white saltglazed stoneware with aggressive growling muzzle. Likely Staffordshire mid 18th century.

The cover with repair to the tongue, left ear and sections of the rim. Muzzle with a crack.
